Apartment · 2 bedrooms
Gare, commune of Luxembourg City
An apartment in Gare with 2 bedrooms, a separate living room and a fitted kitchen, in a quiet residential street.
The apartment measures 85 m² with a private bathroom, a cellar for storage and, in most of the building, a lift.
The rent is quoted plus charges, which in Luxembourg normally covers heating, water, building maintenance, common-area cleaning and the syndic fee, and is settled annually against actual consumption.
Barresi Group manages the property directly, which means one point of contact from the first viewing to the last day of the lease. We work in English, French and Italian, and we answer on WhatsApp during working hours.
Gare, Luxembourg City. The best connected address in the country, and the most densely served.
The Gare quarter is the grid of streets built around Luxembourg Central Station, on the plateau south of the Pétrusse valley. It is the smallest and most densely served part of the city: shops, banks, restaurants, the tram, the city buses and national and international rail are all within a walk of the front door, and the quarter is the most multicultural in the capital.

Supermarkets on and around Place de la Gare cover the daily basics, including Sunday mornings, while larger stores on Rue des Gaulois and Rue du Fort Bourbon handle the weekly shop. Bakeries and pâtisseries are unusually dense here, and the streets around Avenue de la Liberté and Rue de Strasbourg hold independent grocers, butchers and international food shops covering Portuguese, Italian, Balkan and Asian ranges.
The quarter holds one of the densest concentrations of retail banking in the country, with the major Luxembourg and international banks on Avenue de la Liberté, Avenue de la Gare and Place de Metz. POST Luxembourg is on Place de la Gare with a cash machine available around the clock, which matters when you are setting up a new life and need a bank appointment, a post office and a printer in the same afternoon.
Avenue de la Gare is the main retail artery, with an arcade, electronics and high-street chains alongside independent shops. Opticians, pharmacies, hairdressers, barbers, dry cleaners, phone operators and gyms are spread across Avenue de la Liberté, Rue Dicks and the side streets, so you are rarely more than five minutes from whatever you have forgotten.
Luxembourg Central Station handles the national RB and RE services plus international IC, TER and TGV connections towards France, Belgium and Germany. The T1 tram stops at Gare Centrale and at Paräisser Plaz and crosses the city through Hamilius up to Kirchberg and south to Cloche d'Or. The station is also the main hub of the city bus network, night buses run at weekends, and direct buses reach Findel airport in around twenty-five minutes.
Avenue de la Gare, Rue de Strasbourg and Rue Joseph Junck hold one of the widest concentrations of restaurants in the city, at a broader price range than the Ville Haute, covering Portuguese, Italian, Indian, Turkish, Thai and Ethiopian cooking among others. Place de Paris is the natural terrace square for a drink after work, and the cultural venue in the converted railway roundhouses just east of the station runs concerts, exhibitions and a summer programme.
The Parc de la Pétrusse runs below the Plateau Bourbon and gives you a valley walk within minutes. Place des Martyrs, known locally as the Rousegäertchen, is a small rose garden a few streets away, and the Pont Adolphe carries a dedicated pedestrian and cycle deck beneath the road, so the Ville Haute and the cathedral are ten to fifteen minutes away on foot with a view over the valley on the way.
Every quarter below belongs to the commune of Luxembourg City, the country's largest commune and the one that handles registration, waste, resident parking and communal services for all of the districts we let in.
Public transport is free everywhere in Luxembourg, so the only cost of a commute from here is time. The journey times below are approximate and depend on the service and the time of day.

The monthly charges provision covers heating, water, common-area cleaning and maintenance, the syndic fee and the lift where there is one. It is reconciled once a year against actual consumption, and we can show you the charges history for the building before you sign.
The rental period is agreed case by case. Tell us how long you expect to stay, including if the answer is that you do not yet know, and we will tell you straight away whether the apartment works for that.
The apartment is let unfurnished as standard. Furnishing can be arranged, and we will quote for it before the lease is signed.
A rental guarantee is paid before the keys are handed over. The amount is set in the lease, within the limit fixed by Luxembourg law, and is returned after the departure inventory once any agreed deductions are settled.
An identity document, proof of income such as an employment contract or your two most recent payslips, and, for non-EU nationals, the relevant residence document. Nothing else is needed to start.
Pets are considered on request, taking account of the building rules and, in a shared apartment, the other residents.
Availability is confirmed when you enquire, because it changes. Send us the date you need and we will tell you what is possible on this address and on the nearest alternatives.
